In our dog grooming training, you will learn how to properly hold your scissors and understand all the necessary equipment, including how to hold a pair of clippers, as part of your comprehensive dog care education in our groomer classes.
My name is Will, and I am a grooming instructor and a certified dog groomer. My career in dog grooming has been wonderful, and I truly love what I do. This field is in high demand, offering a variety of employment choices beyond just working in a dog shop—veterinarians also need skilled groomers, and there are opportunities in mobile grooming and in-home grooming. My goal is to provide dog care education and to help others learn the essentials of dog grooming training while encouraging their development and growth. I've assisted many individuals on their journey to learning dog grooming, and now I want to make this education quick and affordable. You will benefit from my vast experience and knowledge, regardless of whether you've ever combed a dog before—no prior experience is necessary. I will guide you through all aspects of grooming a dog, including the various techniques taught in my groomer classes.
The cost for the 8-week program is $3800.00. This comprehensive dog care education includes a toolbox filled with all the beginner tools you will need to kickstart your dog grooming training and embark on your new career with the necessary skills from our groomer classes.
You will learn about essential aspects of dog care education, including various Dog Breeds and their temperaments. We will cover common Skin Issues and Health Issues that may arise, as well as the importance of Breed Cuts and different Pet Styles. You will gain insights into choosing the right Shampoos and Conditioners, along with techniques for using Finishing Sprays. Our dog grooming training will touch on methods like velocity drying and fluff drying, as well as the necessary Grooming Tools to use. Additionally, you'll learn the proper bathing techniques, how to cut nails, and the significance of Ear Cleaning and Expressing Anal Glands. Effective Client Communications and documentation are also key components of your education. We will discuss Assisting Elderly Dogs and Conditioning Puppies, along with techniques for Sanitary Clips and De Shedding.
